The Department of Medicine is seeking a motivated Staff Research Associate I to support groundbreaking clinical and translational research on liver and metabolic diseases. In this role, you will recruit participants, collect and process health data and biospecimens, transport research materials, maintain databases, and contribute to research summaries. You’ll also have the opportunity to engage in cell culture, assays, and animal experiments while ensuring smooth daily lab operations, quality control, and safety compliance. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in patient communication, assisting with diagnostics, medications, and follow-ups.
Hourly range: $26.52-$31.63
Qualifications
Required:
Ability to coordinate and prioritize work schedule.
Knowledge of patient confidentiality and safety requirement and ability to maintain it.
Ability to work efficiently and complete tasks thoroughly, accurately, and timely.
Strong organizational abilities and problem-solving skills.
Ability to adapt to changing job demands and priorities; work flexible hours to accommodate research deadlines
Typing and computer skill/ ability including word-processing, use of spreadsheets, email, data entry, data storage.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs
Preferred:
Degree in biological sciences.
Experience working at research laboratory.
Ability to learn new techniques as required.
General knowledge and practical skills needed to perform recombinant DNA and molecular biology techniques and procedures, including PCR and DNA extraction
