Clinical Ethics Fellow
The Fellowship in Clinical Ethics and Health Justice provides post-graduate level experiential learning opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of ethicists-in-training at a large, Catholic health care organization. The goal of the Fellowship is to prepare highly-qualified, academically trained ethicists for the professional field of health care ethics by providing practical, hands-on experience with dedicated preceptorship.
The Fellowship is a two-year program and the Fellow will be physically located in the Portland Metro Area and at Providence Center for Health Care Ethics which is situated on the campus of Providence St. Vincent Medical Center.

The Clinical Ethics Fellow promotes excellence in the professional practice of clinical ethics consultation by engaging in continuous quality improvement, peer-to-peer feedback, and contributing to the development of rigorous clinical ethics training programs with the Director, Ethicist(s), and Center staff. This position is actively engaged in bringing ethics to bear on larger health care issues that face society, the field of health care, and the healing ministry of Providence. In addition, the Clinical Ethics Fellow will be a resource embedded in the Oregon Region (yet supporting needs in the Central Division and system, as feasible) on matters related to health care ethics; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and mission integration.
