Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’ premier healthcare provider and home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School – Baystate, is seeking an academically-oriented clinician or PhD investigator to join the faculty of the Division of Health and Behavior within the Department of Healthcare Delivery and Population Sciences.
Position Highlights:
Join the newly established Department of Healthcare Delivery and Population Sciences to transform healthcare using state of the art methods in comparative effectiveness research and implementation science. Your interests in behavioral or translational sciences, including community-engaged research and health disparities, will help us advance Baystate’s mission of better health for the communities we serve, better value for healthcare services, and elimination of health disparities.
In this faculty research role, establish yourself as a scientific leader with a forward-looking research agenda as a principal investigator with independent peer-reviewed funding. Develop a research portfolio and engage in grant writing and publication activities. Physicians will have dedicated clinical time.

Qualifications: MD or PhD in a health-related field and a strong commitment to collaboration, courage, quality and lifelong learning. Candidates should have broad research interests in behavioral or translational sciences, as well as the related fields of community-engaged research, implementation science, and health disparities. In addition, candidates should have credentials supportive of an appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, demonstrate a scholarly record of research exhibited by high-impact peer-reviewed publications, and show potential for securing funding from federal agencies.
