Post-Doctoral Research Opportunity in Lexington, KY
The research fellow will serve as a Co-Investigator on a Biomedical Lab Research and Development (BLR&D) funded research program focused on investigating spinal targets for persistent bladder pain. Interstitial cystitis/Bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS) is a painful condition of unknown etiology.    Investigate novel MIF-modulated spinal protein targets associated with persistent BHA and determine spinal protein changes mediated by specific receptors in persistent BHA. Work involves performing a variety of research methods to determine pain levels in awake animals, animal surgery in anesthetized animals, specimen collection and processing for further analysis and testing
