Postdoctoral Associate
The Epigenetics Perspectives In Communities (EPIC) Study lays the groundwork for improving communication about a key concept in genomics called epigenetic modification. It will explore the ethical, legal, and social implications (ELSI) of current epigenetic-related communications, including how such communications could shape harmful beliefs (e.g., genetic determinism, essentialism, racism, stigma). Then it will identify and create strategies for communicating about epigenetics in a way that is not harmful. The results of this project will be transformed into a toolkit to support the information needs of basic scientists, clinicians, laypeople, and journalists.  We are looking for highly motivated candidates with experience in qualitative research methods and a backgroun
