Olgin Lab - Specialist or Professional Researcher
An important focus in the Olgin lab for the last several years has been to understand mechanisms of fibrosis and novel models of arrhythmias. Incumbent will pursue several projects related to cardiac electrophysiology and cardiac remodeling by studying molecular pathways that promote arrhythmias and cardiac disease. The ideal candidate will be familiar with techniques that include the following; rodent surgery to create disease models, Langendorff preparations, optical mapping in large animal and rodent hearts, invasive and non-invasive electrophysiology studies in rodents, rodent echocardiography, pressure-volume loop measurement and other physiologic studies.
