Job Description
SSM Health SLUCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Neuromuscular Neurologist to join our nationally recognized team in St. Louis, Missouri. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside two seasoned providersone with over 40 years and the other with 15 years of experiencewithin the only Nationally Certified ALS Clinic in the state.
Position Highlights:
Flexible Schedule with a balanced mix of clinic, procedures, and call
Call Responsibility: 8–10 weeks per year, 1-week stints; overnight call is taken from home
Clinic Focus: Neuromuscular patient care, nerve conduction studies, and EMGs
Procedures: 1 dedicated day per week in the EMG lab under the direction of the director.
Botox Program: Large and growing patient population with significant need
Multidisciplinary Clinic Model: ALS Patients receive comprehensive care from a team including a dietician, speech therapist, PT/OT, social worker, and the clinic directorall in a single 4-hour visit
Research Opportunities: Strong emphasis on research with protected time (buy-down) available
Pediatric Collaboration: Monthly rotation at Cardinal Glennon for pediatric EMG and muscle biopsy
Team Expansion: Neuromuscular APP joining post-Labor Day
Mentorship: The director is a dedicated mentor and the lead for both the clinic and lab
