Animal Caretaker - Research
The Animal Caretaker I position is directly related to the Department of Nemours Biomedical Research and several clinical departments. The staff of the Life Science Center is responsible for the animal husbandry of all animals used for research. The position requires that the caretaker follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the Life Science Center, under the direction of the veterinarian, and the investigators' instructions regarding specific care requirements. It is also necessary for the caretaker to follow federal, state, and institutional regulations and guidelines.Primary Duties: Feed and water animals according to instructions. Change bedding in cages and sanitize cages using the cage washer equip
