In compliance with applicable New York and New Jersey State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) is mandatory for all MSK employees, contingent workers, and volunteers. Exceptions are permitted for those employees who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption.
*Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.
Note: Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster five months after receiving the second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or two months after the J&J vaccine.
Job Description
We are excited to be looking for a Senior Project Coordinator to join our team at MSK! This role will be part of the Collaborative Research Centers at MSK and work with 2 initiatives. The Thompson Family Foundation grant is a multi center grant. You'll be responsible for the day to day operations and financial monitoring of the grant. The Colorectal Cancer Research Center is part of the Collaborative Research Centers (CRC).
You will work closely with the Director to operationalize new initiatives, create more efficient workflows, and collaborate with colleagues across the colorectal team. You'll be part of the CRC administrative infrastructure and participate in team meetings, projects, and various new initiatives.
You Will:
- Manage assigned projects; developing project plans, defining deliverables and resources required for successful and seamless execution.
- Manage project work flows, Gantt charts, and timelines, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met.
- Perform contingency planning and risk management analyses for assigned projects, developing alternative plans and laying the necessary groundwork for efficient execution of contingency plans.
- Manage internal and external partners, respond to project inquiries, lead project meeting agendas and ensures meeting goals are accomplished.
- Perform all administrative duties for scientific and development meetings; planning, budget development, reimbursement and payments.
- Coordinate travel and event planning and reconciles related expenses.
- Create spreadsheets and/or update databases. Organize files and ensures that data is readily available to the management staff as needed.
- Write and/or edit various documents, reports and presentations (i.e., meeting and conference materials, minutes, divisional updates, project summaries, and newsletter articles).
- Develop budget proposals for new projects. Monitor financial activity related to assigned areas. Conduct variance analyses between budget and actual spending for specific projects.
You Need:
- 2 - 4 years of project coordination or management experience
- Strong communication, prioritization, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
