Post Doctoral Fellowship and Graduate Research Student Positions

About University of Kansas Medical Center
The Center for Physical Activity and Weight Management at The University of Kansas Medical Center-Kansas City and The University of Kansas-Lawrence supports research, training and outreach programs to promote nutrition and physical activity for prevention and treatment of overweight and obesity for children and adults. Currently, the Center has 4 funded projects from the National Institutes of Health to investigate exercise, nutrition, physical and intellectual disabilities, and prevention and treatment of obesity. Current studies are laboratory and community based, and encompass both children and adults. We also have several industry-sponsored programs to investigate manipulations on nutrition, energy balance and body composition. In addition, since 1986 the Center has maintained an ongoing clinical treatment program termed the Weight Control Research Project designed to provide weight loss and weight maintenance for adults.
