Work Hours/Shift: You Will Be Responsible For: System Research Support Manager manages and coordinates AdventHealth’s systemwide and affiliate research program for oversight and support, prioritizes escalations as needed, and ensures timeline visibility and knowledge transfer to respective stakeholders. Collaborates with AdventHealth executives and leaders across divisions and functional areas. The Manager will lead coordination of multidisciplinary teams including Research Services, Research Operations and Institute Development to effectively provide oversight and implementation of research at affiliated entities and AdventHealth Divisions- across Florida and other states. Responsibilities will extend into new markets and partnerships as AdventHealth and the Research Institute continue to grow. Qualifications
What You Will Need: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: - Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare or Business Administration or research related area
- Four (4) years of research administration experience in a healthcare, university or corporation setting.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: -
- Master’s degree or higher in Law, Healthcare or Business Administration or related area
- Two (2) years of management experience
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and projects
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED: - Certified in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC)
- Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC)
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: - Leadership and people management skills including effective decision-making, team-building, motivation and conflict resolution
- Ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams across department lines and work effectively with diverse populations
- Strong working knowledge of research administration.
- Utilize strategic frameworks and key insights to logically and concisely present information
- Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external parties, including executives, employees, physicians and consumers.
- Analytical and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of executives, employees and other contacts, while appropriately and discreetly handling confidential information and potentially volatile situations including defensive personnel.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED: -
- Strong working knowledge of human subject research integrity and compliance including a thorough knowledge and understanding of the federal oversight agencies, and other bodies, governing research and their applicable federal regulations or standards - including, but not limited to, the Office of Human Research Protection (OHRP), International Conference on Harmonization (ICH), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Office or Research Integrity (ORI), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Inspector General (OIG), Office of Management and Budget (OMB), HIPAA Privacy Rules and Regulations as they relate to research, local Institutional Review Board (IRB), Central IRBs, and local research administration review and approval processes.
- Research Administration experience in a healthcare system
- Understanding/knowledge of change management and/or organizational behavior theory/experience
- Experience in evaluating and writing policies, procedures, guidance documents, and/or standard operating procedures in the area of research

Job Summary: - Manages and leads project teams to assess, develop, implement and monitor the provision of a system-wide research support program, including oversight. Prioritizes escalation as needed, ensures timeline visibility and knowledge transfer.
- Supports and collaborates with internal and external teams and leaders to facilitate, coordinate and implement the portfolio of services and support initiatives that have been prioritized.
- Oversees program expansion through development and implementation of approved strategies.
- Actively scans and seeks out role model organizational practices and processes both from within and outside of the health care industry and then works with leadership teams to recalibrate processes and implement best practices where adoption is recommended.
- Develops and implements program related initiatives, processes, and systems, and creates goals that align with organizational and operational strategies, supporting organizational initiatives.
- Interacts with other research, campus, and system-wide departments for the purposes of education, developing interdepartmental processes, and/or building research-related infrastructure to adhere to federal regulations and demonstration of that adherence in the area of research (e.g., MIS, Materials Management, Medical Staff, Human Resources, Corporate Compliance, AdventHealth Orlando Legal, etc.
- Represents AdventHealth Research Institute (Research Institute) and the organization by attending defined meetings and functions. Serves as a liaison for the Research Institute, representing them in internal and external engagement, collecting information and data from meetings to brief them as needed.
- Actively develops relationships with key customers and partners. Provides leadership that fosters collegial relations among matrix departments, staff, physicians, and business partners to ensure quality service. Accountable for assuring compliance and providing evidence of performance. Maintains effective and consistent communication with customers.
- Monitors and reports program metrics to ensure goals are met. Maximizes utilization of platforms and tools for tracking and measuring project progress, and maintains appropriate scorecards.
- Acts as a supportive change agent, utilizing change theory to plan for the implementation of organizational change.
- Performs a wide range of assigned duties in support of total Department efficiency.
